Bloom where you are planted. That is one key to happiness. Stop wishing life away. Stop wishing for summer to come, fall to come, winter to come, spring to come and start enjoying what you are given.
Yes, winter is the time to stop and relax, hibernate. It is time for early to bed and early to rise, to regain your health, rest and stamina by resting from the demands of the sun: up and at 'em! Go, go , go!
This is the time for take it easy, slow and steady for winter time. Enjoy.
Remember to join in for Tuesday 4!
Interesting video! Although for us here in the deep south, winter is actually our time to enjoy more of the outdoors (except on the days when it is actually freezing). Summertime here is when we feel more like hibernating inside with the cool AC because it is just too hot and humid to go outside and do anything. Although I do agree that in wintertime I do like to curl up in my chair with a blankie and a hot cup of tea/or hot Ovaltine and read a good book. And during the weeks of the holidays I am on high energy alert for decorating, baking (sometimes) and enjoying all the celebration of Christmas and New Years, but then right after that I tend to want to clean it all up and get back to the reality of living and getting caught up with things. I'm really not in any hurry for spring and definitely not for summer, but it would be nice to have some much needed rain so the flowers can grow and the pond can fill up and we can enjoy watching the birds again. This was a nice post and it made me stop and think about these things! Thank you, and happy Winter to YOU!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I used to love winter and now, I find myself agreeing with Pamela, lol. Wishing you a lovely day, Annie. ☺
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I love winter, Annie. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteWinter time for me isn't my favorite, but let the seasons run as they do. In Oklahoma we have roughly 2 weeks of "bad" weather and it is approaching us this weekend.
ReplyDeleteAs I get older the cold weather makes my joints/body hurt. Love this post and happy Winter. love the video
Very interesting video , with unexpected connections . I do prefer time alone (with my kitty Boss ...lol) , but that includes checking in with friends and family , to make sure they are okay , while spending time in the kitchen . As the Blue Girl , it is always a challenge to assemble enough layers to actually be warm , but the "permission" to re-group makes such sense .
