1. Do you have a favorite day of the week and how about a favorite month of the year? Why?
As a kid my favorite day was Thursday because it was nearly Friday. We had assembly on Friday so it was a shorter day but Thursday built up the anticipation.
My favorite month is probably October now. I like the red, orange, yellow and purple leaves here in the north.
2. What’s the most beautiful or magical thing about each of the four seasons?
In Winter the most beautiful and magical thing are the silver skies, the snow and icy cold winds that blow through the trees. The skies at night are crystal clear and filled with stars.
In Spring the new blossoms are lovely. Spring rain is also a pleasure.
In Summer the warm sun feels good and it is a good time for the beach and being outdoors. Summer nights are special especially on the boardwalk or the beach.
Autumn is time for cool winds, bright neon leaves, the scent of fallening leaves, It is the best time for Pumpkin Spice coffee.
3. Summer is coming... what does this mean in your life? How will things change, stay the same ,etc?
Weather should be warmer though right now, here is late May, it's only 60°F and the high tomorrow will be only 64°F. Still, summer usually warms up a lot more. Hopefully we will spend more time outdoors this summer enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine.
4. What do you look forward to in each season?
In every season I look forward to the holidays that come around in most of them. I think that is the most fun for me besides the unique weather in the northeast. I love having 4 distinct seasons. I love entertinning people for holidays, dinners, whatever the reason.
Looking up the temperatures on a conversion site I think I should move up north. Living near the beach would make things so much better.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!!!
I do miss the change in seasons, Annie. However, with that said, I very much enjoy the warmth now. Wishing you a beautiful day my friend.
ReplyDeleteThere is something special about every season, Annie, and you've highlighted each of them so well. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWe have four seasons in my part of California - not as distinctive as other parts of the nation - still staying within that moderate temperature but we do have a HOT summer and we do have a colorful autumn in the mountains.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy all the seasons and would get bored with no variations.
You do have the best of the seasonal changes where you live. A little bit of everything without it being too extreme. I do miss the changes of seasons, but not enough to move back up north. I've gotten lazy and don't want to shovel snow anymore. LOL. Still, there is beauty in every season if we just look for it, no matter where we live. Thank you, Annie, for another fun post.
ReplyDeleteAhhh...another lovely header ! Thank you !
ReplyDeleteThere is a beauty to each season and you described each well !
I enjoyed your answers and these questions. I love having four seasons as well..though we don't get much snow in winter, I'm not far from some if I really want it.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers Annie, really liked what you had to say in #2.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers Annie. I too like the 4 seasons though the older I get, my body doesn't like it, lol. Have a wonderful weekend.
