My ideal road trip is to just cruise along and stop for meals along the way.
2. What is your ideal evening out? Going out for dinner is my ideal.
3. What is your ideal way to handle criticism? Brush it off? Take it personally? Reflect on it?
It depends on the criticism. If it's real and said correctly I think about it. Most times though people criticize because of jealousy or to hurt your feelings. In that case I brush it off and then write them off.
4. What is your ideal day off? I like to just take it easy at home.

I was sorry to hear that you had a migraine over the weekend, and I hope you are feeling better now. I like your ideal road trip vacation. I've wanted to do that for a long time...no particular place to go or time to be there...just enjoy the ride and the sights along the way...and yes, check out some interesting places to eat as we go...no fast food/chain restaurants on the highway...get into the towns and try their home town cafe's and diners. Get a feel for the local culture and people. And yes, ideal evening out...go out to dinner! And yes, I agree with you about the critics...if it seems sincere and legit, consider it and act accordingly. But yes, some people just like to pick and needle and be critical no matter what. They aren't worth my time or energy, but I pray for them anyway. And yes to #4, but now that I'm retired, it's nice to take a ride and see something different and maybe have lunch somewhere. I guess I'd better go do my post instead of answering it all here. LOL. Thank you for doing these each week. You are a blessing to us.
ReplyDeleteI share a lot of your ideas about ideal vacays and days off.I hope you're feeling better now and that you'll have a wonderful week ahead.xx
ReplyDeleteI love a quiet day at home, too, Annie. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteStaycations and mellow game nights are my jams! Totally agree on criticism… gotta consider the source 👍🏻
ReplyDeleteLove your post, very thought provoking. :). I think my favorite evening out is getting to go to a play or a movie and then stopping for a piece of pie afterwards and a cup of tea before going home. Whatever the event I have always enjoyed going somewhere for a little snack and winding down before going home. I started that with. my friends as a teenager. Perhaps I need it because I am a little overwhelmed by nightlife. I enjoy it! But it is hard for me to relax afterwards and go to sleep. Going for a snack and talking about the evening to me is the best part. Have a lovely afternoon!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific post !
ReplyDeleteI agree with your answers and would like to add a friend to meals/snacks out .
Good food is always better when in good company !
I miss that .
