I spent countless hours in the city with my boyfriend as a teenager. I lived in North Jersey then in a tiny "bedroom town" outside the city. We would hop on the bus and be in the city in less than half an hour. We went everywhere... except.. I have never been to the Empire State building! Never was too interested really. I think now I might like to see the art deco interior though.
The sky in my neighborhood can go from boring to grand depending on the time of day but I think most people can say that. Suffice it to say the sky does not disappoint. This is salt marsh with a lovely pink marshmallow sky.
Another neighborhood view.......I spend a lot of time here on the cove. I like the view, I like the scent of the salt, I like the breeze especially on warm summer nights. I like everything about it.
The photo above is the dock of a neighbor a couple of streets over from me. I took the photo but it was afternoon and boring and nothing great was happening so I used my Photoshop to make it night, added a few stars and lights in the houses across the "street" and a huge moon and I like it better.
This photo was taken by a friend of mine in Central Park. He is a well known journalist and political commentator and can take some really beautiful photos but this photo was really awful. It was the middle of the day and nothing was going on at all and it was out of focus. So I made it nighttime, turned on the fountain lights , street lights, a few building lights in the distance and made it rain. Then I added a bit of lightning to make things interesting. He agreed it made a better photo. It could use some more work but, it's not bad. If you click it you can see it full sized as you can any of the photos on the page.
Okay, that's it for now. Bye...
