Friday Daybook

J
ournaling or keeping a Daybook used to be something both men and women did for centuries.    I think blogging is the modern day equivilent in some ways.
 Linking to Skywatch Friday.

          Simple Woman's Daybook:

Outside my window... The day is sunny with temperatures in the 70°Fs.

I am thinking...  About things that need to be ordered for the household and things I need to get done .

I am thankful.. For life, for family and friends who I love.

I am wearing... gray cotton pants and a white tee shirt.

I am creating.. this post and the photos I will use or not.  I am considering questions for Tuesday 4. which can be a challenge.

I am going... to the drugstore early this morning.

I am reading...I will be starting The Island by Elin Hidebrand... a second read.

I am hoping... for a nice day all around today.

“I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it.”
―William Shakespeare

I am learning... about  misconceptions I had about myself.

I am pondering: How badly the Wisteria needs pruning.  It's taking over everything.

Around the house... getting things  organized as best I can.

In the kitchen...   baked ziti

One of my favorite things... opening windows on a lovely day to let the outside in a bit.
Buying gifts for the kids... Harry Potter floating candles are on order for both of their rooms.

A few plans for this week:  Going to dinner where the Little is working for the summer.  The restaurant is on the beach near the family summer house.
I have extremely exciting news about the Little but I will wait on that for a bit.

A peek into my day: Blue skies, smiling at me, nothing but blue skies do I see.

"Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air"―  Ralph Waldo Emerson

I've kept a journal for 54 years now. At 70 years old, I'm trying to figure out what to do with it.

  6. Hi Annie, I don't think I have eaten baked Ziti. Do your grands live with you or nearby? Can you walk to town? How far is the town for you. We drive everywhere over here. If I lived by you, I think I would want to walk and enjoy the views!

  9. I write in a spiral journal everyday. Today I received a phone call from relatives who check in on me to make sure I am okay. We were on loud speaker. Such fun. It was a bitter sweet call because their son is moving away. Just think of how rewarding it is to have a grown adult taking on a new adventure in a different state. It is a lovely day!
