We watch a movie on netflix and then play some games.
Since it was late we saw an episode of Lost, our favorite tv show on netflix and then in the morning we played a quick (as if) game of Risk where she took over the entire world in just an hour or so.
Then we went to family for a big brunch of eggs, french toast, muffins, croissants and all the fixings that make for a huge, huge breakfast.
Her viewing of Lost has been monitored as some episodes were deemed not fit for her. We monitor books in the same way and advice is asked on how fitting something is for her age. I don't think you can be too careful about what you allow into the heads of children. And you can never tell how things may effect them either.
In watching a Scoobie Doo cartoon on dvd with the Baby, who is three, it had to be shut off as it was scary for her. Even the most seemingly innocent things can frighten children.
Anyway nothing scary at the pajama party just good food and fun.
Hope Monday is treating you right.
Hi Annie! My son Justin always enjoyed the game of Risk. Family games didn't often go well at our house because Jessica could not stand to lose! ;) Currently I am playing Word for Friends (scrabble game) on my iPad with Justin who uses his iPhone and Jessica who uses her Droid. Ryan only watches things like Yo Gabba Gabba, Imagination Movers, Oobi, etc.. His favorites are the Construction and Firefighter DVD's I bought for him. :)
ReplyDeleteCiao Annie! Awwww, i simply love the gulls in your new header! Stunning! :)
ReplyDeleteYou game night sounds fab to me, I loved RisiKo (the Italian version of Risk) when i was young!
Have a lovely week!
Hi Annie;
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I never played the game of "Risk". When my kids were young we played every board game there was to play except for "Risk". I always enjoy reading about your pajama parties with the A.K. and I agree with you on what they should see and read. It shocks me to hear what some parents and grandparents allow the kids to watch nowadays.
I love your headers. They are so perfect and wonderful. Have a lovely day my friend. ;-}
Hi Annie,
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful day! I never saw this post I must of missed it :) I don't play games never have and never will. I got very turned off as a kid when people that I played with were to competitive and took the fun away from the game for me. So I don't play games of any kind even cards! Your weekend girls slumber party sounds fun! I remember when I had them with my Grandkids. Those were the fun days now they are all grown and who would of thought I would be living with my Grandsons girlfriend? Funny how things go.
Hugs, Dru
