A New Week and back to the Blog

Leaves are beginning to turn color
I have been taking a  holiday of sorts from blogging for holidays and I enjoyed every minute of it even though I did not leave home.
The weather has been so pretty and cool, but not too cold. But now I am back to work on writing, doing a little painting and working on making the apartment a home. I have been able to buy mostly new furniture for it from places like Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Pier 1 Imports etc.  I found lovely lamps, a desk, a new table for the living room, a lovely mirror for over the table, chairs etc.
I still have to buy a few more things  like bedroom lamps, ceiling lights, etc. I suspect I might make ceiling lights out of round drum shades.  And I think I am going to make my own night tables from floating box shelves. This will enable me to store my hat boxes underneath!
I am going to buy a large shelving unit from Ikea to house my tons of books. Its called Expedit and I have read very good reviews. At over 6 ft wide and tall, it should take care of many books etc.
As things progress I will show some photos of things.

  3. Hi Annie;

    Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I truly appreciate it. Here in my neighborhood the trees are slowly going bare and past the peak of color. The weather is becoming more normal for this time of year.

    Sounds like things are coming along in your apartment. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the end result.

    Have a lovely day ahead my friend. Hugs
