Long Beach Island NJ
What I am up to today:

  • Sipping a cup of steaming hot Ceylon Orange Pekoe Tea, my favorite. I love tea with milk, no sugar.
  • Having chicken and rice for dinner.
  • Knowing I will make a second cup when this one is done.
  • Just finisihed re-reading   Candace Bushnell's The Carrie Diaries. I enjoy her writing style.
  • Working on the novel.. first half deadline is looming heavily on the horizon!
  • Wearing an Ohio U sweatshirt. Extra heavy and so soft. Nice on  chilly days.
  • Saw the re make movie Footloose with the Famous Anonymous kid. We have our trips to the theater together as often as we can.  This version rocked. The dancers were wonderful. See it if you  love dancing. You will enjoy this. I had a hard time staying still in my seat.
  • Finding things for the house online. Looking at Ikea for ideas and storage ideas. I am going to have precious little space. Eyeing some extra slim tall wardrobes for either side of the bed . Not sure yet though.
  • Finding that white raisins soaked  in gin really do help with pain and inflammation! Been 4 weeks or so now and they do seem to give relief.

How was your Tuesday?

  1. I've never seen a white raisin here. Soaked in gin.... I would mix it up with icecream, Rum n Raisin.
I have no space in my new abode either, but I threw out so much stuff that I didn't need, and now I'm very streamlined. It's great.

  2. Hi Annie;

Long Beach looks so peaceful and pretty in that photo.

I'm looking forward to reading your novel once it's published. Chilly here with snow predicted for tomorrow. Way too early for me and I'm not looking forward to it at all.
The "Footloose" trailer looks great and I can't wait until it's out on DVD to see it. I own the original and whenever I see Kevin Bacon, I see him in that roll.
Hmmm..maybe I should try the white gin soaked raisin remedy..only problem is I'm a teetotaler.. LOL!! Have a great day my friend. Hugs

  3. Hi Annie,
So you liked the remake of Footloose? My friends did not like it at all. I will wait to rent it when it comes out. You sound very comfy in the outfit you were wearing yesterday. Writing a novel huh? That is really cool! Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.
    Hugs, Dru

  5. Devorah, they are called Muscats or golden raisins.
Yes they could be soaked in Rum or whatever and added to recipes. Oh yummy. :)
