Alone on the shore
scent of salt water,pounding surf.
Hear the sea gulls song?

Haiku is usually 3 lines. The first line is 5 syllables, the second is 7 and the last 5 again.
My favorite poet is Matsuo Basho ( 1644–1694). I love his poetry.
I discovered the beauty of Japanese brush painting and Haiku when I was a young teen and have loved both since.
I love to read it...but to write it, forget it, lol. Beautiful Annie. Have a great day, friend.
ReplyDeleteLovely poetry...
ReplyDeletecaptures my every sea thought...
gives me happy sighs.
Keep cool,my friend!
The high temps and humidity outside feel like
walking into a wall of heat...
love the summer warmth...this? not so much
Be well...
