1. Do you try to set rules for yourself about how you use your time? Explain.
No.
I do what I want, when I want as long as circumstances allow and it doesn't inconvenience others.
2. Monday was National Lighthouse Day. Have you ever visited a lighthouse? If not, do you have any desire to see one up close?
Of the 10 Most Beautiful that made this list which would you most like to see in person-
I live by Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island in New Jersey. I can see it almost daily if I want.
'Barney' is one of the tallest lighthouses in the USA and to me the most beautiful.
I visit it quite often.
There is one on Cape Cod in Massachusetts I wouldn't mind seeing list or no list.
And the other one in Mass. as well.
When you’ve been away, what’s your ‘lighthouse’ telling you you’re on the right road home?
God is the best lighthouse for me keeping me on the track to home.
3. What have you unintentionally stopped doing? Is this something you need to pick back up and begin again, or is it something you need to let go of for now (or even permanently)?
I really can't think of anything.
4. We’ve had a full week of August. Share a GRAND moment from your month so far.
Being with my girls. Always a grand moment. Also having a house full of teens over for games and pizza. Now that was grand as well!
Watching the Famous Anonymous making a sundae for The Little was grand as well.
5. Tell us one song you love with the word ‘baby’ in the title.
"Baby's Got Blue Eyes" by Elton John (Well, baby is kind of in the title)
6.Insert your own random thought here.
I saw a church billboard on the road that said, "God is close to the broken hearted".
Now, that isn't true in the sense they meant it. But you can't reinvent things to suit your own purpose.
The piece is only part of verses that are telling you that God is close to those broken hearted over wrong doing.
The verse means that He is close to those who are repentant toward Him.
I wish twisting of biblical things would stop. This is just one of a long list of misquotes and misuse that actually change truth.
Your last statement....wow! I was reading just yesterday about how "Christian" songs aren't always theologically correct. It's made me listen more closely and sure enough...one that I have always liked says something that wasn't correct Biblically....really keeps us on our toes.
ReplyDeleteYou are so completely correct: God is close to the repentant heart.
