Happy New Year and welcome once again to Tuesday 4 where we remember and honor the memory of our friend Toni Taddeo who began Tuesday4..
The Times Square ball first dropped on December 31, 1907. It is 12 feet in diameter and covered with Swarovski crystals.
1. Despite the weirdness of this past year, was it still a good year for you anyway or not? In some ways yes and in other ways no. It was a terrible year for family health and house problems which won't be going away any time too soon.
2. How will you spend New Years Eve? With family enjoying food and fun.
3. What do you do on New Year's Day? Is football part of the agenda? No football, no. Most likely it will be spent watching movies.
4. It's a Scottish tradition to kiss at midnight. Do you keep that tradition? Does everyone get a kiss if you do? My family kisses one another and hugs.

Good post !
ReplyDeleteI didn't know the kiss was a Scottish tradition ! Funny how the fun ones become widely appropriated ! New Year's is gladly spent with dear friends , but this Cinderella has to be home before the ball drops !!!
May the coming year bring good health , peace and Joy to all !
Sounds like it will be a nice Christmas Eve. Enjoy the movies.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Praying your New Year will be better for you and your family health wise. "All things are possible with God". Thank you for doing this. I didn't know the midnight kiss was a Scottish tradition either...if we are still awake, we will kiss and hug each other. I haven't stayed awake until midnight in a long time. We shall see what happens...
ReplyDeleteThis year has been a year of learning for me. I've had to take all that's been thrown at me and then just lean on my Savior. So, for me, it's been a learning year. I'm currently home sick and so I'm staying put for NY Eve and NY Day. I'll watch the live stream from my church this evening for their NY Eve communion service. When my husband was alive, yes, there was a kiss at the New Year. Happy New Year, my friend.
