1. What is your favorite animal and why?
I don't really have a favorite animal. Animals are all nice and each animal has their own personality just like people.
2. Are people animals? What separates humans from animals?
No, people are not animals hence Adam could not find a mate amongst them. G-d tells us that there is a spirit (from Him) in man.. this is what separates us from animals. We are capable of thinking on a higher plane.
3. Which animal is the most dangerous? According to experts it is the Hippo. Very dangerous animal indeed.
4. What should you do if a bear approaches you?
Play dead.
5. Do you like dogs? Why do people call the dog, man’s best friend?
Both cats and dogs can be best friends to man because they are highly social animals. Yes, I like dogs.
6. Do you enjoy going to the zoo? Some people consider zoos to be cruel environments for animals. What do you think?
I love the zoo if it is clean, neat, orderly, well maintained and large enough to allow animals room to roam. Otherwise I dont like it.
7. Where is the best place to see animals in your country? In the world? You can go any place in the USA to see animals.. brown bears, Kodiaks, black bears, moose, reindeer, antelope, big cats, all manner of birds, big and small, all kinds of large predaors and furry creatures.
In the world most places have animals. But Africa and Australia have some very interesting ones.
8. Are you a vegetarian? What makes some people give up eating meat? No, I eat meat. I think they feel sorry for animals.
9. Which animal is most helpful to humans?
Whole groups are not completely helpful. Individual animals are often helpful. Overall.. the horse is most helpful as he providea many services to people.
10 If you could be any animal (besides human), which animal would you like to be? I will stay a human as it is God's highest, best and finest creation. The world was created for mankind.
11. Who would win in a fight between a tiger and a lion?
It would depend on the individual animals and the circumstances.
12. What do you think about hunting animals? Would you like to try it? Hunted animals are not kosher. Therefore there is no reason to hunt for meat.
13. Books like “Watership Down” and “Animal Farm” give animals human characteristics like human thoughts or language. Is this how you think animals really are? Or are those really just stories about people? Animals have instinct but in the Garden of Eden they did indeed talk.
14. Some animals are endangered due to illegal poaching. How do you feel about this issue? Its wrong!
15. If we can bring an extinct animal from the past back with genetic engineering, should we do it? Which animals should we bring back? Nothing should be done with genetic engineering. It is wrong and evil ..hands down. You do not play with the building blocks of life.
I think so, too, about every animal having a personality. Cheers!

I agreed with all, except for the hunted animal part...if animals are hunted for food, deer, moose, or whatever is needed to survive in certain climates, I believe they are fine to eat. (Acts 10:9-16). (Peter's Vision). God said what He had made clean was not to be considered impure. And venison and moose meat is very good. I have had bear meat, but I do not like to see bears hunted unless they have become too overpopulated and have become nuisances. That is when they become more dangerous.

DeleteThe response about hunted animals not being kosher refers to the method of killing them , not the acceptability of their meat . When hunted and killed , chemicals are released into the meat that makes it non-kosher . The kosher method is humane and doesn't prompt the release of harmful chemicals into the meat . Therefore it is the method that makes these animals "unclean" to eat . Deer , moose , cattle , sheep , goats , etc are ruminants ( chew the cud) and are acceptable to eat .
ReplyDeleteInteresting post here. We should never elevate humans over animals but at the same time, we need to treat them well, as responsible caretakers. To me that means how they are raised, how they are treated and how they are killed. A lot of controversy here and each person has to decide on their own. Sorry I've been lazy in visiting. My newest blog post might explain why.
