Photos on a Friday

November is flying by so quickly. Next week is my daughter's birthday on the 22nd and mine on Thanksgiving Day this year.

I have a theory as to why time seems to go by so quickly lately. While time has speeded up since the Fukushima incident shifted the earth and shortened the day by 1.8 microseconds. The powerful 9 quake even had Norway's fjords sloshing back and forth!   But I suspect the real culprit is our way of life.

Since the 1800's life has changed dramatically. Labor saving devices , fast food, fast everything has changed our perception of things. A day was longer years ago because we had much to do. People slept better, were stronger and thought of a week as long. Why? They got tired from work.  We do not work as  mankind once did and instead of making days longer, it makes them far shorter in perception.  Seem odd? It won't if you work really hard during the day with lots of physical activity. You should notice a difference.. the day seeming longer to you.  What is your experience with it?

Colors here in New Jersey are amazing. The brilliant scarlet of burning bushes, the deep reds and orange of the maples and the yellows of other trees are just glorious.  There is nothing as lovely as autumn I think.  How is it in your neck of the woods?

I am joining in for Friday Photos and Skywatch Friday.

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Ps. 19

These crames lift boats out of the water. Blue fence, red crane, gorgeous orange leaves!

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecceliastes 3

Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendor and majesty, covering yourself with light as with a garment, stretching out the heavens like a tent. He lays the beams of his chambers on the waters; he makes the clouds his chariot; he rides on the wings of the wind; he makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. ...Ps. 104

“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this" Job 12

"Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing."  Isaiah 40

  3. The photos with a accompanying Holy Scripture is well done.
Since my youth I've been told by my Elders that the years go quicker as we age. Apparently there's a lot to that statement.
    Blessings. xx

  4. Gorgeous colors and pictures and scriptures to go along with them. I enjoyed this so much. I loved the little girl on the cover of Saturday Evening Post. Normal Rockwell sure could capture human nature so perfectly! He was a true master!! Thank you for sharing this today. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Birthday!! Wow, now that is something to celebrate...and your daughter's birthday too! Sounds like a busy and happy week ahead. Yes, the time does seem to fly by these days...it gets dark so early I think it is bedtime when it is only 6 pm! I just am not adapting very well to time change this year. Really has me off schedule. That, and old age I guess. LOL. TAke care my friend.
