Welcome back to another Tuesday 4 in honor of Toni Taddeo it's founder.
They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Sometimes it is the reverse. March has a lot of happenings! There is March 1st the start of Mardi Gras, the 13th is Daylight Savings Time, the Ides of March on the 15th, St Patrick's Day
on the 17th, the first day of Spring on the 20th this year March
29-31 are the "borrowing days" when weather is traditionally rough or
stormy.
1. Do you celebrate Mardi Gras or St. Patrick's Day and how do you celebrate them? No we do not celebrate Mardi Gras traditionally at all. It is big in Louisiana etc but not here. Religiously it is very heathen.
2. Do you decorate for the spring in any way at all?
I put a cute little duck and baby ceramic on my kitchen window sill. I avoid wreaths in spring because birds will nest in them and they fly into my house. It is still too cold to plant flowers etc.
3.
Daylight savings time doesn't make the day longer. Experts say it puts
kids heath at risk as well as contribute to heart problems for
adults. Arizona and Hawaii don't change times. It began as "war
time" so war workers in WW2 could come home in the light. What about
you though? Are you happy to see it return or not? I think God knows what he is doing and man should leave time alone. It is a dumb idea. Health is effected and that is not good. Even children are hurt by the change.
Just be happy to be living whatever the weather.
I am interested in weather though and find it to be a very interesting topic. I am
currently looking into weather manipulation and weather as a weapon. There are tons of scholarly articles about this that make your head spin with what can be done!
Enjoy your Tuesday .. enjoy each and every day as much as you can. Its the only day you will get today!
It's good to be content with the weather no matter what it is. The only complaint I have is when it gets too cold and I can't even keep warm inside due to leg issues. At those times I remember there are so many homeless people who have it much worse. I think most holiday's are quite heathen even Christmas symbolism and rituals. I guess some are more blatantly so than others. I too am interested in the weather and watch it a lot. I first learned about weather manipulation several years ago. It's amazing what "they" can do. Have a good week Annie.
ReplyDeleteWeather manipulation is a real thing and folks better wake up. They used some sort of manipulation on the truckers in Canada. Just saying...I hope you have a beautiful day, Annie. smiles
ReplyDeleteI love watching the weather channel and learning more about the weather. I rarely watch any tv but the weather channel is fascinating. We have a hike planned for today...will be in the 70s! YAY!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of weather manipulation. I might have to look into it. We will be at 89 today. My Easter/spring seasonal tree has cute ducks with Easter bonnets. I got them from Hallmark back in the 90's when my kids were little.
ReplyDeleteThere is great beauty in every season and each day brings its own blessings and lessons...much to be grateful for , all around !
ReplyDeleteAs to time and weather manipulation , any time mankind tries to "change" what God has made , the result of their arrogance is always evil .
I had to smile when you said you don't hang wreaths and why. I don't remember that ever being a problem for anyone I know...until a couple of years ago. My mom hung a big wreath and, as you said, the birds moved in. She and Colton enjoyed watching them so much she's been putting it up every year since, but they didn't build last year so we are wondering if something happened to them.
ReplyDeleteOh, good idea on the wreaths. I hadn't ever thought of that. My mom used to have some cute little glass ducks that she would use to decorate with. I don't know what happened to any of them. I enjoyed your answers.
