Cruella Devil

M
arch comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. Well, its coming in early this year with gales and high winds lately. So far, we have had 3 gales in a couple of weeks here on the seashore.
I am joining in for Saturday 9 this week.    How about you?
My daughter and her co workers as Cruella and the puppies.
My daughter is Cruella

Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) In the original animated 101 Dalmatians, this song is written by Roger, who gets his best ideas at the piano. Where do you feel most creative?   In painting and piano.

2) His piano is tucked away in a crowded attic. Does your home have an attic? If so, what do you keep up there?   Yes, I have an attic.   I keep decorations and out of season things.

3) The inspiration for this song is his wife's old school chum, the very wealthy and very mean Cruella de Vil. Have you ever found you couldn't stand one of your spouse's or lover's friends?
All the time, yes.  He had disgusting, evil  weirdo 'religious' types. Let me say though they were NOT really religious at all but fake .

4) Make no mistake, Cruella is a very bad lady. The American Film Institute named her #38 on their 100 Greatest Villains list. Tell us another nasty movie character who comes to mind.
There are so many that no one specific comes to mind.

5) Cruella wanted to skin sweet little Dalmatian puppies and make a coat. (We told you she was bad.) As winter wears on, could you use a new coat (though not one made from puppy fur!)?
I've had the same coat for 15 years or more and it's in great shape.

6) This song was written by Mel Leven, who did both words and music. Do you think you'd be more successful as a lyricist (words) or composer (music)?   I do not think I would be successful as either.

7) 1961 was a big year for Disney. In addition to this animated movie, they had a hit with The Parent Trap, about twins who are reunited at summer camp. Approx. 1 in every 250 births results in twins. Are there any twins in your family?        I had two sets of twins. One of my aunts was a twin.

8) Also in 1961, IBM introduced the Selectric typewriter. Amazon and Walmart both still sell typewriters. Do you own one?  No. Not anymore.

9) Random question: When is the last time you took a nap?  A week ago. I was so darn sleepy I think I was fighting something off.

  2. I keep my coats until they wear out and they are in good shape so...no new ones in my future. Two sets of twins! We once lived next to a man who was from a family of 16 and he said that included two sets of twins and one set of triplets!

#5 My cloth coat needs a new lining, the original lining got caught on a chair leg when it was hanging over the back of a chair.

  5. You're a fantastic artist. I think it's wonderful you are musical too. I tried but have no talent in that regards.
I keep coats for ages. They cost too much to replace at a whim. xx

  7. Thank you for sharing ! That photo is adorable...so nice they all entered in as a group and seemed to be having such a good time ! I , too , am a Coat Keeper ...used to have a vintage mouton lamb coat called Fang , who , it was explained , slept by the door and growled at intruders ! At that time , the coat probably weighed more than I did !
    Have a wonderful day !
P.S.- Did I mention the vintage floor-length shearling coat named Ewe 2 ??? She still lurks in the back of my closet !!!

  9. Coats...Oh my...I donated my wool winter long coat to our church's yard sale, but no one would buy it. This IS Florida after all. It was such a nice coat, but I never ever wear it anymore. I don't know what happened to it. I have another long (dress) coat that is an all weather type coat, with a removable lining. More practical for Florida, but I still have never worn it. I wear short jackets or hoodies. It IS Florida after all. The picture with your daughter in it is so cute. I enjoyed your responses. You are a very talented and gifted woman, both musically and artistically. What a blessing. Hope you are having a good weekend. It's warm and sunny and beautiful here, but we need rain, and I'm not quite ready for 80 degrees yet, but at least is isn't humid. Very lovely actually, so I'm not complaining. Take care my friend.

  10. LOl. If one of your aunts was a twin, presumably you have two aunts who are twins!
