1. What was life like for you as a child of elementary school age? Friends, games, TV, music, food, interests? Tell us about it won't you?
Life was calm, basic and steady. I played Old Maid, Candy Land games. I rode my bike all over the place and practiced with my little bow and arrow. I did science experiments with my father. I enjoyed the music my parents listened to which was old easy listening. TV was cartoons for me
2. Moving along to the teen years would you mind sharing some of the same things with us? What were you interested in? What did you watch on TV or listen to on the radio? Tell us all about you as a teenager.
Life was steady and easy going and I enjoyed things. Religion was important to me and I was very interested in anthropology and so-called mythology which my father said was based on actual truth. I liked listening to WABC and WINS on the radio both of which were rock and roll stations with very interesting personalities.
I very much enjoyed family situation comedy on television. I played soft ball after school for many years with friends, went ice skating all winter long on a pond at a golf course that had a shack and pot belly stove to warm up in. I went swimming in the ocean all summer long. Evenings were spent on the boardwalk.
3. Would you share your college or young working years with us? Did your interests change or grow in your late teens or early 20s?
Did your friends come or go? Did you live at school or home or have a place of your own? So many questions only you can answer.4. And lately... what are the topics occupying your mind right now? How have things changed in your life in the not to distant past. Are you okay with the changes?
Life has changed dramatically for me. I might tell you about it one day but, probably not. My mind is occupied by the terrible state of the world and the lack of knowledge and brains in so many people and the utter corruption of government. It's been corrupted for decades. Both parties are as evil as can be.. and probably more than we can even realize. We need decency in so many ways.
Love one another friends.. we are all we have.
Ice skating in winter and summer at the ocean...wonderful. Love one another is very important.
ReplyDeleteSince I grew up in Central Florida, even the winters were spent at the beach in one way or another. "Salt air it ain't thin. It can stick right to your skin and make ya feel fine ..." It sure does.
ReplyDeleteAnd 100% about the government. We need God-fearing men and women who know how to run businesses to run for office again like Way Back When. Until we stop murdering babies and glorifying sin, our Country will not be blessed by God.
Blessings. xx
Amen , one and all !
ReplyDeletePrayers for good health , wisdom and safety for us all...
Indeed, on your last thought. smiles
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful childhood Annie. I miss the old days but today is all we've got. Amen to your last thought. Have a good week ahead.
