Blast from the Past
1. If you had one million dollars to spend only on yourself, what would you spend it on?
First I would invest it to make many millions because a million today is nothing.
I would buy a large home with a big yard, have a lovely pond built for fish and lilies and swimming too. The house would probably be a huge Victorian style.

| a man made pond with swimming hole. |
I would take a much needed vacation after decades of stress. I would probably go to the seashore in Maine or Massachusetts.. Martha's Vineyard , etc.
2. You can do it again. What decade are you going back to and why? What's the attraction? I would like to try the 50's. It was a prosperous time and there were so much more freedom in this nation.
3. What's the last song that got stuck in your head? Alternatively, what's your current favorite song? In Spite of Ourselves by John Prine and sung in a duet with John and Iris Dement was in my head today
4. What items do you miss from the past and wish they were still around?
Real telephones! I don't want to play games on my phone or be bothered with Face Book, etc. on a phone Ugh!
Real TV programs from the past and a real TV with less channels and easy channel flipping.
Also real American made cars made of real heavy gauge steel manufactured in America. Right now its imported low grade cheap steel.

We have a landline...unfort. right now, because we are staying with friends...and I hate/detest my cell phone, just saying...anyways...I agree wholeheartedly. I hope you have a beautiful day, Annie. P.S. If your around later today, I'd like to get caught up with you on FB (the one thing I also detest FB NOT you, LOLOLOL).
ReplyDeleteI'd like easier access to all of my music! And more tv programs that are entertaining! lol Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThe house and pond sound wonderful! I'll take that with my million too!! lol
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers. I can see how a larger more open home would be easier.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw John Prine I had to start playing him. I sometimes forget how much I love listening to him.
