Night Night

Happy Summer Solstice! Today is the first day of summer. So far it's cool and breezy with lovely days and lots of refreshing rain.  I hope you have good weather where you are and if not, let's pray it improves!

Welcome back to the "I refuse to auto post" , complication from Blogger enhanced  Tuesday 4 by Toni Taddeo
Yes folks, it did it yet again.  But, better late than never some say so here we go with this week's questions.    I hope you enjoy them.

1. Do you have a set bedtime that you stick to?
I used to and was in bed by 10 most nights, 11 at the latest.  Now, not so much and I've stayed up late a lot.    I an changing that now as I don't like it much.  It does not contribute to good health at all.

2. What kind of sleep attire do you prefer and why is that?   I like loose short shorts and a tee shirt best.   I find nightgowns creep up too much and I think that is uncomfortable.

3. Do you have a night time routine  before bed?   Wash.. brush teeth.. snack?
I wash my face, use olive oil around my eyes and on my lips.  I brush my teeth very well  and drink a big glass of water.

4. Quilts? Coverlet? Fluffy comforters? Woolen blankets? What do you need to sleep comfortably?
I use a quilt and comforter in winter.  In summer just the quilt.    As it has been chilly here at night lately with temperatures in the 50sF I am still using my comforter.  I hope summer continues like this.
Consider joining us for Tuesday 4.. the more the merrier my  friends.

  1. Interesting about the olive oil. My daughter uses coconut oil but I don't like the feel of it. I used to be a late to bed gal but as I've gotten older, I'm more tired earlier. Especially right now with the time change, it's light at 6 am and I can't go back to sleep.

    1. Melanie, olive oil is closest to natural skin oil. It gets absorbed quickly and then I blot off any excess.

  2. Your weather sounds perfect! I'd like to get in bed earlier, but rarely make it before 11:00. But since I'm retired I can take a nap during the day if I need to.

  3. That bedtime is rarely set in stone ! It should be early...I feel better the next day , but sometimes an article will capture my interest and those good intentions go out the window !
Have a splendid day , my friend !

  4. Annie,

During the week, we try to get in bed by 9pm and on the weekends we're a little looser on schedule. We do take brush our teeth and take melatonin just before bed every night. I prefer to sleep in my birthday suit. Clothing under covers is too binding. I have DH to snug against if I get cold. :) We like fleece blankets and keep at least one on year round. They are lightweight and insulate well even if you have a pile of them on the bed. Enjoy your summer!

  5. Your weather sounds so nice. It is hot here. It hotter than normal near 100 during the day and 70's overnight. That is our August weather. I wish it were in the 50's overnight here. I sleep so much better. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

  7. I wish it would cool down here at night, but I don't see that happening for several months. Still, with the air conditioning it is cool enough to keep a sheet and a light blanket on. I kick it off if I get hot and then pull it back on when I get cold. Kind of happens all night long. LOL. I cannot stay up past 10:00 or 10:30 at the latest. My eyes and body won't let me. But we get up by 6 a.m. every morning, if not sooner, so that is why I have to get to bed on time. Thanks for doing this. I just added my post a few minutes ago.

  10. I just now realized I never got around to commenting on last weeks posts. ugghh.. I liked your answers. I'm not a night owl anymore by choice. I tend to like getting up earlier the best.
