September

Togetherness

S
eptember marks the end of Summer and the beginning of the "ber" months of autumn and fall.  Her birthstone is the Sapphire, her flower  the Astor and her weather is variable... sometimes summery, sometimes autumny.   Indian summer they call it on warm breezy days... and we
are having a bit of that now as summer fades away.
Don't you recall going back to school with all your new notebooks and pens.. all pristine and new. There was excitement of seeing some friends again.
Here on the seashore tourists will pack up and head home and our weekenders who own vacation homes will just come down on weekends until October, depending on the weather.
Snowbirds who have Florida homes will be divided by those who leave early and those who stay through Christmas.
Leaves are already turning yellow/orange and beginning to float gently down into the pond and the yard.   They float along the stream like little boats going to sea.
As for me, I begin to think of the Pumpkin Spice coffee falling leaves, very chilly mornings and rainy afternoons.
The Tuesday 4 questions are up already for those who wish to join in and I really hope you do.   The more the merrier.
I hope your September is health, happy and prosperous in these outrageously difficult times, and remember, in the final analysis we all need one another.

"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it."---Prov. 3:27

  1. I am afraid, fall doesn't come in these parts of Fl until like late October-Nov. No leaves changing etc. It is still blistering hot/humid here. I am not complaining though...smiles. Love you and miss you Annie. smiles

  2. Even though, like Linda said above, Fall doesn't get here to Florida until October/November, we still pretend it is fall and enjoy all the "changes" of our season here. It actually did cool down a few degrees today after a big storm. I know it won't stay, but it reminds us that fall is coming...just a little bit at a time. Enjoy your lovely days for us. Have a blessed weekend.
