One good tip for icy weather is to boil a very large soup or canning pot full of water on your stove top. It adds a significant amount of humidity to the air and helps to heat the house very nicely.
If you also add some spices like cinnamon, cloves, etc. you can add a wonderful cookie scent to the air also.
Wearing a cap inside the house on very cold days keeps you warmer as well.
Out back the big pond is frozen over, fish are hibernating at the bottom. The deepest part of the pond is 4 feet deep.
Keep warm if you can and have a very lovely Christmas Eve and final days of Hanukkah.
Icy and cold! Merry Christmas and wish you the best
