"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!". |
In the temple in Jerusalem, there were three sacrifices in a day. Schacharit, Mincha, and Maariv. Morning, afternoon and night.
Birds sing together 3 times a day just as Daniel faced Jerusalem and prayed three times a day and as the Orthodox do to this very day. Pay attention to when birds are most vocal.
"Wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth, young men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens" Psalm 148
Almost every culture has an oral history of a time when animals could talk. After all, God told Adam to choose a companion from among them. before Eve was created. I believe it is true.
Somehow I did not realize that animals praised the Lord. Thank you so much for sharing that scripture. I love when I go out for an early morning walk and the birds are singing so loudly. Now I know why. Have a blessed day and a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour meme is inspired, Annie, and I got such a kick out of it. Yes, in my latest blog post, I posit the same thing - all creatures of our God and King sing praises in their own way. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThere's that lovely holiday header !!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting post !
Although, it should not surprise us that the creatures praise God . They were created before humans were !
Have a wonderful holiday , one and all !
I never thought of animals talking in times of old except for in the garden of Eden. But I know for sure that the Aboriginal peoples have many stories of talking animals in their oral histories so I'm thinking other cultures must also have the same though I can't point to specifics. I do believe all of creation including animals praise the Lord. God bless. x
ReplyDeleteThe oral history of nations are very accurate. Those who memorized the history took their job very seriously.
