WW1 took 16.5 million precious human souls for virtually nothing at all.
" From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

Amen. Thank you for sharing this.

ReplyDeletePeople forget...so many of these soldiers who fought for our country and its freedom were kids...18 years old , right out of high school...some were younger , who lied about their age to join the service ! Yes , there was a draft , but so many joined from patriotism and a deep love for our country !

War is a terrible thing. I'm so grateful for those who serve in our military and my heart hurts for those who don't come back. I salute them all.
