Stolen Goodies

Welcome Friends and internet family.  I hope this first day of the week is a good one for you.
We had some thunderstorms last night... it seems to me the weather around the country is no longer normal.  The tornados are out of this world.  The heat, the cold are all wrong.

"Welcome to Sunday Stealing.   Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

This week we're stealing from Christina at Call Me Patsy. Back in 2008, she admitted she stole these questions from a blogging buddy named Liz. Here we don't judge. We celebrate such theft."

Questions Christina Stole from Liz

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
I hate paying so much for water and for toilet paper.
I have a perfectly good well but the township forced us to take city water.  What a nasty scam.  My well water was pure, the city water is dirty.
As for toilet paper.. it gets flushed down the drain.

2. Which restaurant would you recommend for a romantic dinner?
If you have the money, I recommend the Russian Tea  Room in Manhatten.  It truly is lovely and the food is wonderful.  I can't recommend places outside NJ or NY.
But any place can be romantic with the right person, even a diner and I suppose even fast good.  You can have a romantic picnic.

3. Who was your first grade teacher?
1950's
These are usually phishing questions to get into your private accounts so I will say she was an older woman who taught first grade.

4. What should you be doing right now?    Finding a magical spell to whisk me back to the 1950-60s and have life stay that way.

5. What did you want to be when you were growing up?   I never really thought about it but I did like being a  pretend cowboy as a little person..... as a teen I did consider becoming a dance teacher with my own studio.

6. How did you choose the shirt you're wearing right now?
Everything else was in the wash and/or was too winter heavy.  We are still mainly in the 60's here.

7. Gas prices! What's your first thought?  We are all being conned and robbed.

8. Do you have a teddy bear?    Yes. I got him when I was about 3, He is very tattered now and in pieces but I promised him he could come to paradise with me when I pass on and I will try to keep that promise.

9. Do you own the last book you read, or did you get it from the library?  I own my books.   I rarely get to the library.

10. Did you more recently send a text or write a Post It?  Sent a text to answer a text from my friend letting me know she got home safely.

  1. Thanks, I about spat out my coffee on #1, lol. I do believe the utility companies are another con job perpetrated on the American people. We have well water and it takes so much better than city. Keeping you in prayer, Annie. smiles

  2. Ah, you are right about romantic places! Who you're with matters more than ambiance.

  3. I think I would prefer to be whisked to the 1980's. I was born in the 1960's but can't really remember them too much.

    :o)

    Cheers

  4. I don't think life in the 1950s and 60s was everything people think it was. We are having weird weather, too. It's very cool today, and we have smoke from the fires in Canada.

    1. Yes, I doubt any era was what we want it to have been, but I did like those times. Of course I was a child.

  7. I regret having to pay an internet bill . The company is a monopoly in our area . Their service is extremely high priced and extremely low , unreliable quality .
Your Bear is a stalwart friend .

  8. I think my least favorite bills to pay are those for insurance. I know they are important but sometimes I think I'm just padding the pockets of insurance companies who usually have the fanciest buildings in the city. I don't have any childhood bears, but I do have one I got shortly after my husband died. He is one of those Build-A-Bear creations and I just love him. The top I'm wearing right how is from that exclusive fashion store - Goodwill. It was new, with the tags when I bought it.
