Who hast Thy glory far advanced above the starry frame.
From mouths of babes and infants Lord, strength by Thee
is ordained so that thine enemies be judged, Thy vengeful foes restrained.
When I look up unto the heavens, which Thine own fingers framed
Unto the moon and to the stars which were by Thee ordained
Then say I what is man that Thou shouldst be mindful of him?
Or that the son of man that Thou so kind to him should be!
from Ps. 8

Amen! One of my favorite Psalms. I think of this everytime I look up into the skies and see the stars and moon, and/or watch a sunrise/sunset. God created all of this for our benefit. We are blessed beyond measure.
ReplyDeleteThis Psalm always reminds me of how small I am in the scheme of things, yet how much God loves me anyway. Love the paradox. Blessings, Annie!
