Things are very green though and that is always lovely.
I took time to fill my front porch flower box with morning glories. They are fake but, that way I won't forget to water them. Birds will be disappointed but I cannot have birds near the door as they fly inside.
In the morning I make myself a cup of coffee. I can go without it. I don't seem to need caffeine to wake up but I just got used to coffee or rather powdered creamer with a dash of coffee in it a couple of decades ago when I found myself falling asleep all the time. No, the coffee didn't work at all and without the creamer I do not like coffee much at all. And, it must be mild coffee too. So the coffee was no help with the problem but I did like the habit and the powedered creamer.
I was always a tea drinker since I was very little and had it with my grandmother every day before kindergarten and first grade as well as after school when we would have a cup together. So, when people come over and don't want to have coffee or tea, I am really very disappointed and the time with them isn't as good as it would be. I equate the ritual of making and having coffee or tea with socializing and spending time together. When that doesn't happen I feel very let down. I associate fellowship and hospitality with having tea or coffee.
This is why I enjoy time learning theology with
my cup of coffee in the morning and the last cup of tea at night.

I can drink herbal tea, but anything "Lipton" upsets my stomach. And don't get between me and my coffee in the morning! Blessings, Annie!
ReplyDeleteMy family and most of my friends are coffee drinkers, so the first thing I do when I know they're coming is turn on the coffee pot! Coffee and socializing just go together, (or tea) !!
ReplyDeleteI could not agree more!!
DeleteI don't drink tea or coffee
ReplyDeleteMornings begin here with a big mug of black tea , with lemon .
ReplyDeleteMost black coffee tastes bitter to me , so that creamer helps ,
as does a tiny bit of brown sugar !
