The Best Part of Waking Up...

If its Tuesday, it's Tuesday 4 day.
I hope everyone who drops by will join in.  If you have a blog join in!

Well hello again!  I am so glad you stopped by and I do hope you are here to join in for Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
We ask 4 questions each week to get you blogging, thinking, discussing and visiting with other bloggers.

The commercial song said "the best part of waking up in Folger's in your cup".

1. What is in your cup in the morning?
For the last few decades it's been coffee.
I had Lyme for a while years ago and it helped me a bit.  Before that I never drank coffee just tea.  My parents and grandmother were coffee drinkers at home.

2. What brand of coffee or tea is the best in your opinion and why do you think so?
I like some of the gourmet coffees you can pick up at Home Goods or TJ Maxx but over all I usually buy Chock Full O'Nuts.  It's safe because it comes in a steel can, has a soft flavor and a cute jingle back in the day.
Chock Full O' Nuts  coffee shops was in Manhatten when I was young. "New York's Favorite since 1932".
My oldest son swears by Folgers.  My parents used Maxwell House and Chock Full O'Nuts. Actually I have bought Hawaiian grown coffee and it's very nice!  Hawaii is the only state that grows coffee and I love buying American.
(By the way.. America is not named for Amerigo Verspucci.   It is a Mayan word.. Amaruca is "land of the Plumed Serpent"  That serpent is Quetzecoatl who was worshipped all over the Americas or as they called it Amaruca.   Many names in the Americas are indigenous inspired like Michigan.. Anishenaabi or Ojibwe for Land of Great Water.. Michi-gama or Michi-gumi.     Just thought you might find that interesting.)

3. Where do you drink your cuppa in the morning? Do you have a nice view?
My kitchen table looks out to my yard and the forest behind.  It's a lovely view.   If I have some in the office, it looks out into the front and the trees and bushes and birds that are there.

4.Besides the morning, do you take little tea or coffee breaks during the day?    If you are out and about where is your favorite place to get some tea or coffee?
I rarely drink more than a half of a cup of coffee in the morning.  I don't miss it if I don't have it either.
I will drink tea in the afternoon and evening  and sometimes coffee.

Do you remember Rockapella's Carmen Sandiego?  As a kid I though San Diego was Sandy Eggo.
I hope you enjoyed this week's Tuesday 4.  Let me know if you did and if you have any special subjects you'd like to talk about.

  1. I do have to drink that first cup of coffee in the morning; I can't wake up without it! We buy the Kirkland brand (Costco) cans of Colombian coffee which is both smooth and rich. I enjoyed your answers, Annie. Blessings!

  3. This was fun, and your answers were great. As you already know, I am a "tea-totaller" and don't drink coffee in any form, only tea. But hubby drinks coffee so I do make a pot every morning just for him. He's not particular as to brand as long as it's hot! LOL.

  4. Mornings begin with a big cup of strong black tea with lemon juice .
    In colder months , mid-afternoon brings a cup of instant de-caff ,
doctored a bit , to make it more interesting and less bitter .
Thank you for bringing this to us each week...I think she would be pleased !

  5. I have 2 cups of tea with my breakfast and seldom turn a cup down if it us offered - at any time of the day. There used to be a jingle that went 'I dont come live until I've had my cup of Bell tea. ' I dont have Bell but prefer to be left alone until I've had my morning cuppa.-. Interesting facts about America.

  6. Hi Annie! I loved your answer to #2, the history lesson was very interesting and a learning experience for me! I don't think we have Chock Full O'Nuts here, If I can find it I'll give it a try. Hope you're enjoying a very happy day♥
