Bye Bye Bye

Happy weekend friends,
Here in New Jersey we are awaiting a big snow storm (I write these on Friday monring) with about 8 inches they say and sleet, etc.   We may not see that much or any at all here by the ocean because we are a bit too far south and in a kind of microclimate by the seaside.
It's cold here today at 29F and a bit windy.
Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every  Saturday.
Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love to answer the questions, however, and here is today's questions!

1) In this song, a man predicts his lover will start an argument. Is there anyone in your life who can be quarrelsome?    Everyone is quarrelsome from time to time.

2) He says he's had it, he's checking out and signing off. Can you think of a time you were glad you walked away from something?      I am usually most happy when I walk away from people who are bad.

3) This week's song was performed by the band NSYNC. The group was formed in Orlando, FL, which is world famous as home to Walt Disney World. Today there are 12 Disney theme parks located around the globe. Have you ever visited one of these Magic Kingdoms?         No.  After Mr. Disney passed the corporation went evil.  What they did to American workers was evil and the horrible mistreatment of kid stars is unforgiveable and I can't give them my business ever.\

4) They made a celebrity appearance on The Simpsons. What's your all-time favorite cartoon show? Loony Tunes with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck etc.    I also like Fractured Fairy Tales.

5) In 2000, the year "Bye Bye Bye" was popular, Brad Pitt was named People's Sexiest Man Alive. Are you crushing on anyone right now?     No.

Let's look back on 2025 ...

6) What's the farthest from home you traveled in 2025?    Maybe 10 miles or so.

7) What was the biggest purchase that you made in 2025?    Probably groceries.   Prices have been going up since Jimmy was President and no one seems to care.  At the same time, quality and variety have gone way down.

8) What was your favorite book of 2025?           I don't have a favorite for the year.

9) What are you looking forward to most in 2026?    I don't partition my life into  years or decades like that.   Do you know how people will ask what things were like in your generation?   I find that silly.  It is my generation until I am no longer around.  And when people ask what things will be like in a certain year I see a picture in my mind of years as envelopes being stuffed with imaginary wishes and wants and it just seems so weird to me.   I don't like thinking of life being broken up into pieces like that.  You do you and I will do me.

  1. It’s snowing here on Long Island. It’s miserable. It sounds like your microclimate will be spared, though.
