Sunday Fun

It is the start of a new week friends.   Weather has been blustery and cold

Welcome to Sunday Stealing. Here we will steal all types of questions from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent questions. Cheers to all of us thieves!

Impetua is a blogger who stole this meme from someone named Yello, who I could not find. While it's not specifically about the holidays, these questions do have a festive feel.

Stealing Some Fun

1. Describe your favorite cake.  I have three very favorite cakes.
  • Coconut Cake.. white cake with whipped coconut filling and frosting 3 layers thick! And one of the best tasing is made by Pepperidge Farm believe it or not.
  • Black Forest Cake... chocolate cake with dark cherry filling and chocolate frosting
  • Mocha filled Jelly rool... a jelly roll filled with a mocha whipped cream filling
  • Wellesley Fudge Cake... recipe from a tea room by Wellesley College.  You can find the recipe on my Rock&Roll Cafe blog which is linked in the tabs above.

2. Think of the best party you've ever attended. Were you a host or a guest?   There have been several that I really enjoyed, a few as a guest and one as the host.   The best parties were somewhat formal evenings and included a lot of very good conversation.

3. When you choose a greeting card, do you pay more attention to the words or the pictures?  I like an even mix of both and I pay attention to both when choosing.

4. What's your favorite holiday?
I  really used to enjoy New Year's Eve when my parents where alive.  My mother made it so special.    But, truth be told, I am thrilled with all the holidays and love making a big deal out of them.

5. Who is your favorite character on your favorite TV show?  I liked Tyrion and Brienne on Game of Thrones.   On the series Fargo, I liked the sherriff played by Allison Tolman .  I loved Tom Selleck as Jesse Stone in that series.

  2. Yes, your coconut cake sounds like the one I love too. And yes, Pepperidge Farm is almost as good as my grandmother's coconut cake! On #3, yes, I look at the picture first and then hope the verse is meaningful to go along with it. If I don't like the verse, then I look for another card or I have to write my own verse/thoughts. Favorite holiday? Well, I guess it must be Christmas, except for the gift shopping and wrapping. I just wish we could do away with that part and enjoy the beauty of the day together. Actually our most fun Christmasses was when we did "white elephant gifts" and there was no pressure on shopping for a perfect gift and everyone went home with something FUN. Regarding character on TV, I don't watch many current shows, so I will just go back to I Love LUCY, and of course, LUCY is my favorite. Hope you are enjoying the days leading up to Christmas. It's almost here!

  3. In choosing a greeting card, I always look at both the graphic and the sentiment. Blessings, Annie!

  4. Brienne! She was a great character on Game of Thrones.
