Please let us go back to that brief shining moment when the dream seemed to be about to come true.
Here is an older Tuesday 4 from Toni Taddeo.
1. What was the best place you've ever been? A Place you would love to return to again and again.
I suppose Prince Edward Island and Green Gables. I love it there.
2. What was the best book you have ever read?
Most will say the bible but to me that's not the kind of book I meant. That is a text book.
There is a list of just every day novels no one else would probably ever name. They aren't great literature but I like them. They are just entertaining to me... Early Autumn, 44 Charles Street, One Fith Avenue, Summer in the City, The Island..
3. What is the best food you've ever eaten? My own cooking at home. I like homemade comfort foods the best.
How about the best restaurant? That is a tie between the Russian Tea Room and Delmonico's.
4. What was the best movie or TV series you've ever watched?
Movie.. A Man for all Seasons TV series... Jesse Stone, Law and Order, NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues (I am seeing a pattern here). I like City Confidential, 24 Hours and The First 48., Midsumer Murders. The list could go on.

"For one brief shining moment . . ." We saw the glimpse of God's kingdom come to earth. Blessings always, Annie, and know that there is a true Camelot.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers. It's always great getting to know someone else more deeply. Enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteI had the album of the Broadway production of Camelot with Richard Burton and Julie Andrews. I knew all the lyrics. Such beautiful songs!
ReplyDeleteThere are many books I've read and enjoyed. I still love my Mitford books and think of them as one long story.
My grandma's chicken and homemade noodles! Never had anything like that that good ever since.
Stay warm!
Interesting time we are in...heavy ice over snow , now too compacted to break through , much less shovel , in temps that don't rise above the 20s this week ! Life as a "shut in" means homemade soups and stir fry , baked whatever , layers of clothing to keep the cold at bay , and a dear cat intent on extended snuggling , while I read ! I am so very thankful not to have lost power and prayers continue that no one else does !
ReplyDeleteI also preferred the first season of Midsomer Murders. Somehow I don't think of the Bible as a "textbook". That sounds too dull and dry. The Bible is the Living Word of God...and it is always alive and filled with words of life for all seasons. So definitely it's the best book ever written or read. But among others, I enjoyed Jan Karon's Mitford series, and there are so many others that I've read over the years that I've enjoyed, but I honestly can't remember all the names or even authors. Best food ever eaten? My mom's cooking, just because. Best restaurant? I really don't know how to answer that. There are so many different kinds of restaurants in different places that have different foods, so I just can't zero in on one. Sorry I didn't do this on my own blog post. I had a dental appointment today to have the permanent crown installed, and it ended up taking longer when they couldn't remove the temporary crown without having to cut it off, and that required numbing my mouth, etc. I came home and crashed for a while. Now I have to get ready for choir practice tonight. Just couldn't get my act together to write today.
ReplyDeleteHomemade food is the best. Have you watched Boston Blue, the spinoff from Bluebloods? We are enjoying it. I just watched a show called DOC that I also enjoy. I enjoy medical shows.
