Things About You

Baby it's cold outside!  Where isn't it cold in the states?
The Cape May ferry which connects New Jersey to Delaware has stopped running as of  February 2nd since the ocean/bay is frozen .
People are ice skating on the ocean in Wildwood and the ice boats are out and zipping across the frozen bays at break neck speed.   Oh what fun it is to ride in a one man open ice boat!
I am still completely iced in  by piles of frozen solid snow. Nothing will break down the 3 foot pile closing off my drive and along the street in front of me.  And with my spine I will not dare set a foot out until the snow is mostly gone.  It is simply not worth it.
February is the month of violets and amethysts and people born in February are said to be deeply humanitarian, intelligent, empathetic and gentle.  They are said to hate restrictions.
Amethysts and violets are two of my favorite things though I am born in late November.
I hope my southern friends are safe and warm.  It can be so hard to live through freezing temperatures when you are not used to it.  And if you aren't used to driving in snow and ice it is so dangerous

Here are my Tuesday 4 answers for this week:

Hi dear friends and welcome to  Tuesday 4.. Toni Taddeo's invention and our pleasure to continue in her memory.

This week you are the topic.

1. What is something you are proud of that we don't know about?

Nothing.  I have no accomplishmen exceot those that were done with the prompting and mind of God working through me.   All man's accomlishments are done for selfish reasons. "All our righteousness is like filthy rags" Isaiah 64.  So what do I have to be proud of?  Also we only ever do our  expected, reasonable duty.  No nation, no people, no race nor person has much to brag about.

2. What subject or things are over rated or talked about too much in your opinion.?    Hollywood, political figures  and the doom and gloom subjects.    I have to include gossip that poses as news as there is way too much of that.

 3. What things and topics should be talked about more often or are under rated in your opinion? All the good that surrounds us.

4. Are there any things you've changed your mind about in the last few years?

My taste in things has changed a bit.  I no longer can stand the taste of certain spices. Thyme especially makes me gag. If I am served it in a dish, I find excuses not to eat it.   I am also no longer a fan of salmon or chicken.  If  I never eat them again it will be too soon.

Thanks for being here and a special thanks to those who take the time to participate. You are very special in my estimation .

  1. Isn't it strange how our taste buds can change as we age

  2. We should be focusing more on what is good about this country than what we perceive as the bad, Annie. And I agree that when we use our talents and gifts we've been given, we should always give God the glory in all of it. Blessings!

  3. I eat a lot of chicken and I do enjoy pacific fresh salmon. I actually like more things now that from before. You are right, we need to focus on the good and that is what I try to do.

  4. Great answers, Annie. Thank you for doing this each week. And yes, my tastes have changed a lot too. I can barely stand to eat bananas, except in banana nut bread or a banana muffin. And sadly I can't eat much of any kinds of desserts anymore. They are just too sweet for me. That's probably a good thing. Oh yes, Hollywood and all their "politics" and lifestyle...I don't want to hear about it at all. As a matter of fact...well, I'll stop there. Great answers today. (yesterday!). Have a blessed week. STay warm.

  5. Glad you are safe and warm !
I , too , am iced in...front porch mostly under 2-2.5" of ice , with barely enough clearance to mostly open the door ! But...by God's mercy and grace , I am safe , sheltered , warm , fed and wonderful people have been placed in my path...an "embarrassment of riches " !

  6. Enjoyed your answers. I'm late getting around to commenting. I never thought about answering the last question about how my "tastes" or even interests have changed..some of those definitely have.
