Here is an older Tuesday 4 from Toni with a few changes I've made. I hope you enjoy.
1. What was the best thing you have ever bought?
My pia no
2. What was the best book you have ever read?
Early Autumn by Robert B. Parker. It was engaging, exciting and written in the distinctive Parker style I love.
3. What is the best trip/vacation/holiday you've ever had?
Trips to the Pocono Mountains, Trips to Prince Edward Island.
. What was the best movie or TV series you've ever watched?
A Man for all Seasons was the best movie, and NYPD Blue was one of the best TV series along with The Office (US verion). I have to include the Big Bang Theory too.

I can imagine that your piano would be a wonderful "gift" to yourself. I would love to watch you play! To me, watching someone play the piano is a big part of the joy of hearing the music they play as one can see how much feeling they have in playing each song. I am not familiar with the book Early Autumn you mentioned. However, I do have a book written by Louis Bromfield in 1926 with the same title. It was a part of my father's collection of books that he treasured because he actually met the author back in the 1940's, and I've been to his farm in Ohio, Malabar Farm, which he also wrote about in another novel. Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall were actually married at that farm!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done my post yet for today. I'm still trying to think of some good answers! Hopefully I will get it done before the day is over. Thank you, Annie!!
I have so many books that I love, Annie, I can't name just one. However, the best I've read in the last five years is "Theo of Golden." Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteA Man For All Seasons was a very good movie! I remember when I got my first and only piano, I was so happy!!
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to be able to play piano. I even self-taught a few songs when I was younger. I just really wanted to be able to play though. Loved your answers! Have a nice week.

A piano would be a special gift! I have never seen the Big Bang Theory. I gave my piano to my granddaughter. We inherited my MIL's baby grand.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning !
ReplyDeleteWe are presented with another late-summer day ( due to hit 90 degrees !)
...in mid-April ! Though living a simple , quiet life , the opportunity presented itself to gift myself with a Perfume Delight rose ...a splurge .
She arrived dormant and bare-root , but it beginning to sprout now ! I grew this variety years ago and missed them , so having one again is a delight ! The fragrance from this hybrid Tea rose is that of old rose perfume...nostalgic and lovely but much lacking in current florists' roses .
