Questions, questions...

September begins quietly and with somewhat less heat than August but will that last?
Today is sunny and warm. The cicadas are singing, crickets talking, fish are swimming peacefully and jumping for the occasional bug that flies by.
The ocean is 78F, the air is 83F but not stiffling at all. A nice offshore breeze is blowing and refreshing.Waves are calm at 1 -2 feet today.
I'm joining in Sunday Stealing again this week: click the logo to join in.

What is one thing that you would change about yourself if you could?
I would have a new spine and  new heart.

Secret to Life??
Name three exotic countries you would like to visit:
Just one exotic one: Tahiti

What do you think the secret to life is?
There is no secret to life. God explained it all in his Bible.  You just follow the directions and depend on Him.

Best concert:
I really don't like concerts because they are far too loud. Trans Siberian Orchestra was good with laser light show and of course, the song Wizards of Winter. But, not a concert fan. Most groups sound far better electronically souped on on digital or records.

Song you can listen to over and over and not get tired of:
None. I eventually do get tired of it.
Though I admit there are songs I like very much but hearing them played over and over is often just too much!

Worst movie music soundtrack or score:
It would be easier to tell you the best. I don't have one that I think was the worst.

A song you wish wouldn't get stuck in your head but always does:
I don't know an answer to this.
Talk to first "love"???
Who was your FIRST date?
My friend's boyfriends younger brother.

Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
No.

What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Wine.
first job?

What was your FIRST job?
Working in a 5 & 10 store when I was 15.

What was your FIRST car?

It was silver with a red racing stripe down the middle. To be honest it was my fiance's car. He was an engineer for IBM. He went to California for extra schooling and I took care of it for 6 months all to myself. He said, "She's yours now, so be sure to drive it daily and keep the engine clean"  He taught me to drive stick and down shift, etc.  Boy, did I ever drive that car! I loved it. 0 -60 in seconds.
After we married my first car was an old used red car and then a white Ford F 150 because  I hauled horses, etc.

Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Home from school. I flew commercial but thereafter hitched rides with student pilots racking up hours.

Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
Francine Levi was my first  friend.

Whose wedding did you attend the FIRST time?
My half- sister. I was 3 years old., she was in her late 20s, not much younger than my mother.

Tell us about your FIRST roommate.
I had 2 in university my freshman year first semester and neither was very nice at all. I moved.

One Wish...

If you had one wish, what would it be (other than more wishes)?
To be okay again and have someone to  love me.

What is something you would learn if you had the chance?
Probably to be fluent in Latin.

Did you marry the FIRST person you were in love with?
No.

What were the first lessons you ever took and why?
Acrobatics and ballet to strengthen my body. Took lessons for 18 years, got very good.

What is the first thing you do when you get home?

Hang up my coat, put my keys  in their place and put my purse away in my closet.

Drop by tomorrow for a post on the Girl Next Door.

  2. You do know you're okay even if you don't feel it, right? Or so folks tell me. I miss that old life of mine, too, but accepting the new one is important. So I must try.

  3. There is no secret...isn't that wonderful that it's right there for everyone who accepts it? I wish you could have your wish. My late father-in-law's half sister was a year younger than his oldest child! The girls used to get in trouble in school for lying when they insisted they were aunt and niece. The heat and humidity are both quite high here in southwestern PA and it's to stay through most of the coming week. Enjoy the rest of your day!

  7. Hi Annie! I used to be able to tolerate noise, but now I couldn't go to a concert if I wanted to. I agree, they are too loud! I love Trans Siberian Orchestra!

  8. I enjoy your candor and the openness of both the questions and your answers .
It is frustrating , in this day and age , that the simple things in life are so very hard to find .
Most people want to be loved...for who they actually are...valued and treasured bu the one they love .Those who "got it right" seem to be in the vast minority and are wistfully admired by those of us bereft of those blessings .
May all your wishes come true !
    Be well , my friend
