Another week of December is underway and while yesterday and most of the last week were cold and dark and rainy, today is as sunny and windy as can be. Old Man Winter Wind is pushing all the clouds away.
You get used to the darker days of winter and a day like today can be a big surprise when you wake up and see the house filled with sunlight!
I am going to join in for Toni's Tuesday 4 Meme today. It looks like fun.

About Christmas Chapter 2
1. Do you drive through your neighborhood to look at other people's holiday decorations?
Not deliberately, but I see them as I go by and when I go shopping, etc.
We are also going to take a drive to PNC Arts Center to see a laser light Christmas show. It is outside and you go by car fulls to see a huge display of lights and laser show. They also have small shops set up.I love all the lights at Christmas and wish they were up all year. Kind of like I love spring flowers and fall leaves and want them all year too! I'd end up in a Kaleidoscope world.
2. Are you counting the days to Christmas with excited anticipation or dread?
I love all the holidays that come my way. I don't dread any holiday. They are all fine with me.
3. When was the last time you had a photo taken with Santa?
I was passing by a display with Santa and someone snapped a photo. I never saw the photo but I am sure I was doing a photo bomb in it. That was a few years ago!
4. Do you make a Christmas list for your family or friends?
No, I don't.
I love winter.. and we are moving much closer to it. It begins officially on December 21.
Welcome winter.. Goodbye to Autumn, you were lovely.
PS. I would enjoy a gift (in response to your comment on my blog about gifts). I like to give, not receive...my grandmother worked for Marshall Fields in Chicago and taught me how to wrap a gift/package. That's my thing, wrapping a gift...it's all zbout the presentation, so said my late grandmother. This was before plastic bags were accepted - when they packaged/wrapped everything. Anyways, enjoyed your answers. I hope you have a lovely rest of the day.
ReplyDeleteMy mother agreed with your grandmother. She wrapped gifts in my Dad's store on occasion and it was always so professional. She even made bows that were so grand! I love wrapping gifts too :). But with me its not about giving, its that I feel so inadequate since people seem to not like what I do give. :(
DeleteWe have family on both sides like that...and let me tell you, any gift I get, I cherish it. I think some folks just make it so difficult when need not be.
DeleteLove the Kaleidoscope World answer Annie But it fits you as the wonderful artist that you are. The last time I saw a laser show was at Epcot years ago. Enjoyed all your answers. Have a day of blessings my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt is just right to love all the holidays, isn't it! Loved your answers!
ReplyDeleteyes to what you said on #1!!! I lo e all of the holidays and wish they were always around. Except for fireworks. My dogs hate them, they are scared, so I can only take so much of that. Loved your answers! Happy Tuesday!

I love Christmas lights too! A laser light show sounds great, let us know all about it. We had a lot of wind yesterday but it was quiet and foggy today.
ReplyDeleteI love Christmas lights, but out here where we live we don't see too many. We have a our little light display on our front porch, and I love to leave it on even when we go out for awhile. I love to come home to it. Yes, I love the Christmas season. I am not about the gifts at all...would rather skip that part altogether and just enjoy being together and have a good time with singing, eating, and enjoying the sights and sounds of Christmas. I've never been very good at gift wrapping, and since I had all boys, any fancy wrapping was ripped off so fast it made your head spin. So we keep it simple. Bows are optional. Bags are reusable year to year. (unless they get ripped or too badly wrinkled). Except for those outside the family. They get the new bags/wrapping and bows! LOL. Merry Christmas dear friend. I hope your holidays are merry and bright.
ReplyDeleteLove your snow fall here! So pretty. It is interesting to read other people's Christmas traditions. Mine have changed remarkably over the years.
ReplyDeleteHaving been raised in a shop-owning family , the gift-wrapping was taught early . Mom's wraps were things of joy and wonder ! She would harvest the dried flowers from the farm hedgerows behind the shop , spray them gold or silver , mist them before insertion into the bow with Claire Burke's fragrance and hand them over , fit for kings ! She was my best friend and kindred spirit...miss her terribly .
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to one and all !
