Thinking.. Sunday Stealing

Hello, Friends,
Its bright and sunny out today with temperatures in the mid 50'sF. The sound of weed whackers is in the air though I am not sure what they are finding to whack since nothing is growing yet.
Welcome to another edition of Sunday Stealing! Let's jump right in!

These are from a site called Thought Provoking Questions..

1. When was the last time you tried something new?
Just the other day.    New Merle Norman mascara, my first time trying it and some changes in hair.

2. Who do you sometimes compare yourself to?
God.  Surprised? Well God is the only one you should compare yourself too, not other people, so that you can see where you need to change,  improve and grow!  Of course, there is no comparison at all, but, if I compare the compassion and mercy of God , His wisdom and concern and power to my own, I can see how deficient I truly am and how much I need to be in contact with Him!

3. What’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever heard someone say?
There are far too many sensible things I have heard said and it would take volumes to mention them all.

4. What gets you excited about life?
Being alive and having things to enjoy, thoughts to think, people to be with, outdoors to spend time in, a little cottage to live in.

5. What life lesson did you learn the hard way?
That people are often not what they represent themselves to be and you can even be married to someone who isn't who you think they are.

6. What do you wish you spent more time doing five years ago?
 Exercising.

7. Do you ask enough questions or do you settle for what you know?
I am always asking questions and learning things. I think it might annoy those around me but I want to know how, why, when, where and etc. I want to know the origin of things, how they work, how they run, what the history is, etc. When people say something is this way or that way I instantly must go research the subject and find out why or what the truth is and/or the story  behind it.

8. Who do you love and what are you doing about it?

I love my family and what I do about that is to love (Verb) them. Love in that sense is a verb and something you do to and for someone.
For instance, a man told his psychologist that he no longer loved his wife.
"Well, then love her!"said the doctor.
"But I don't love her," replied the man.
"Then start loving her!"was the psychologists answer.
You love a person by doing things for and with them. You care not by saying you 'care' but by doing things that provide care and help.  Love is an active thing that you do.
You love your child by providing for them, keeping them clothed, fed, healthy and happy. Being available for someone is love. Changing diapers is love. Cooking good food is love. Working to support someone is love. Listening, answering, helping, all are ways to love.

9. What’s a belief that you hold with which many people disagree?

My religious beliefs, my view of history and anthropology.

10. What can you do today that you were not capable of a year ago?
I really can't think of anything specific that would interest anyone.

11. Do you think crying is a sign of weakness or strength?
This question has no definitive answer. It depends on who it is that is crying, why they are crying, and many other variables too numerous to list.

12. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you?
I only worry about one judge, not people judging.  People have no right to judge anything except themselves.

13. Do you celebrate the things you do have?
In what way?  If it means to appreciate them, I do that by taking care of them.

14. What is the difference between living and existing?
It is a judgement call. Existing is living and living is existing.  The other use this is referring to, "don't just exist, live!" is really one of those pious platitudes I dislike a lot.

15. If not now, then when?
Another over used statement that has little meaning.

16. Have you done anything lately worth remembering?
It is all worth remembering to me. I don't know how someone else would view it.

17. What does your joy look like today?
I have no idea  and I really don't much care what it "looks" like.

18. Is it possible to lie without saying a word?
Sure, absolutely and many do with smiles etc.

19. If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow this person to be your friend?
There is no way to know since every person is different and not cut out with a cookie cutter. You never know how people will respond.  If I was spoken to as I speak to myself I would be my own friend forever! I like people who get to the point.

20. Which activities make you lose track of time?
Painting, play piano, being by the water.
