This is a beautiful area...so much to enjoy and appreciate ! The peaches this summer are terrific ! A farmer's wife shared how to bring supermarket hard peaches to perfect , juicy ripeness - put the fruit into a brown paper bag with a ripe apple . Close the bag ,leave it out on the counter and check in two days .This process may take a day or two more... keep checking .The apple naturally gives off ethylene gas , which ripens the fruit , and the results are delicious !
