Hearts.. Saturday 9

Hi friends, welcome to Saturday 9

Heart to Heart (1982)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) With whom did you most recently have a "heart-to-heart" talk?

My daughter

2) When this song was on the charts, audiences were tuning in to a TV show called Hart to Hart. Are you familiar with it?

Yes, my mother enjoyed watching re-runs of it on TV.
"This is my boss – Jonathan Hart, a self-made millionaire. He’s quite a guy. This is Mrs. H – she’s gorgeous. She’s one lady who knows how to take care of herself. By the way, my name is Max. I take care of both of them – which ain’t easy; ‘cause when they met, it was murder."— Hart to Hart opening lines
3) In the music video, Kenny Loggins plays an illustrator. It’s said that the hardest thing to draw is a straight line, because all the joints in your hand have to work together in sync. Can you draw a straight line, without the aid of a ruler or a straight edge?

I use a straight edge. ——————
You make a straight line in html by holding 'alt' down and then type 0151.

4) This video also prominently features teddy bears. A 2018 article in the NY Post estimates that 4 in 10 adults has a plush toy of his/her own. Are you one of the 40%?

Yes, I have plush animals including a bear my brother gave me for my 2nd birthday and my stuffed
monkey.

5) Kenny Loggins performed in a tribute to Aretha Franklin at Carnegie Hall. Do you have a favorite Aretha Franklin song?

No. I am not a fan of her music really.

6) Kenny cowrote this song with Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers. You can also hear Michael on the background vocals. Do you have a favorite Doobie Brothers song?

Yes. I like the Doobie Brothers and my favorite song besides Long Train Running is Toulouse Street. Its a beautiful song.

7) The third cowriter is David Foster. 1982 was a big year for Foster, since Chicago had a big hit with another of his compositions, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry.” Do you have a favorite Chicago song?

Meh...Not really. Their music isn't bad but I am just not much interested in it. I can take it or leave it.

8) In 1982, when this song was popular, Tylenol capsules laced with cyanide killed 7 people in Chicago. In response, tamper-proof packaging was introduced. What’s the last thing you opened that required you break a seal?

Coffee

9) Random question – You’re having a party. Which guest annoys you most: the one who arrives 20 minutes early, or the one who shows up 20 minutes late?

The ones who come early.  It's just something polite people do NOT do.  Always be a few minutes late to be sure the hosts are ready for you. It's in all the etiquette books. Never arrive right on the dot.. be a few minutes late.

A request that you include in your prayers women and children  suffering in human trafficking.
Friends, this is not a small problem. It is a worldwide crisis.
They come from all walks of life and many are children brought up from South &Central America across the border. Their DNA proves that most   are not the children of the  immigrants but being smuggled up to sell. Families are paid to keep the kids with them. Its horrific.
In the north, native American women in the US and Canada are going missing at an alarming rate.
In the US proper, Virginia has the worst problem with missing and exploited children though it goes on at alarming rates all across the USA and the world.
If you recall the entire government of Belgium was brought down due to pedophilia. Of course, it was replaced by more!
Please pray for these women and children and for an end to this worldwide globalist cabal that is behind it.

Hopefully tomorrow will be Sunday Stealing but if not, then a recipe for Italian Wedding Soup. And if there is Sunday Stealing, then Monday will be Wedding Soup.
See you then.

  5. I'm glad you still have your teddy bear. I had a stuffed dog that I owned forever, but I gave it to my nephew. According to my brother, my nephew has it in his house in Ohio now. The legacy lives on.

  7. I love stuffed animals, sorry to say I don't have one at this time. I loved Hart to Hart, it was so good to read the intro. The show is in re-runs now. Yes, human trafficking is a tragic issue in this country, prayers that we can put a stop to it. Government can't do anything right now because they are too busy fighting among themselves. grrrr. Hope you're having a good day.

  9. The problem of child and sex trafficking is very alarming. I am always amazed at what goes one once it comes to light in the news. Just the other day there was a major bust in Ontario, Canada. The more they catch these perpetrators the better. I just wish the law would come down harder on them.
