Tuesday Four!

Yay! Another Tuesday 4 from Toni.
This one is about Holidays and just in time for all the holidays coming up in the next couple of months.

Holiday Favorites

1.   Favorite Holiday Of Yours?:
Thanksgiving really is my favorite because of it's meaning. It celebrates what God has given to us. It is a day of saying grace isn't it? Well, it is if done right it is.  It should be a day that nationally celebrates the goodness of God.
"You open your hand and satisfy every living thing."

2.   Favorite Holiday Character In A Movie?:

Ebenezer Scrooge
Ebenezer Scrooge!
Charles Dickens' A  Christmas Carol goes way beyond just a holiday. It is a story for all seasons and people whatever your religion or faith.  It isn't about Christmas, it is about  turning from being a mean spirited, bitter miser who hates other people to one who learns to look to the needs of others before his own!   At the end we see that as he developed a love for his fellow man, his life became worth living and he was no longer bitter, but happy and content. It even extended his life!
It takes a big person to do a complete change of heart.Ebenezer Scrooge teaches us that we can change and grow.
Yes, that is what it takes to be happy.

3.   Favorite Holiday Dish Or Dessert To Make?:
I am a big fan of cupcakes. I think they are good any time, though I don't eat sugar.  I need to find a  low carb, sugar free recipe for cupcakes.... and I think I have!

4.   Favorite Holiday Weather You Wish For?:
I like it to be chilly and preferably blustery, snow a good option as well  for any holiday except the
Fourth of July.
We spend the 4th by the bay and it is best if its warm then.
Otherwise, cold, blustery weather makes me feel good to be alive and safe and warm  being inside.

  3. I love Thanksgiving too, and am looking forward to it so much. I am hoping for some nice cool, sunny weather, so we can go outside some of the time. But this is Florida, so it is different than where you are. We enjoy outdoor games and walks after the feast! I enjoy Ebenezer Scrooge also...at least the new man he became! Such a great story! I am not as big a fan of cupcakes as I am of homemade cookies and/or pies. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family gathered around your table! Be sure to take pictures!! Blessings to you and yours.

  4. I almost said Scrooge. I think he represents many of us as far as not realizing what we have and being thankful and generous. He did get it together in the end though. Such a great story. Loved your answers! Have a nice week!

  5. A Christmas Carol is so good on so many levels. The plot is good, with twists and turns and good ghosts and scary specters, and then, as you noted, the store has a timeless moral. I'm in awe of just how *good* it is!

  8. Where I live it's a treat to have cold weather on Thanksgiving! Cool, but seldom cold. I love Thanksgiving too, Christmas is still my favorite though. We went down to the bay this morning, the water was so blue, I thought of you. The bay doesn't always have blue water, mostly it's a gray-blue.
