Tell them how you can't get your nails done or see your friends or have dinner out at a restaurant. Tell them about all the movies you are missing or how much you want to get to the gym and exercise.
Pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and HIV are the main causes of death in infants and young children In the African Region, about 473 000 children die from pneumonia, 300 000 from diarrhea, and a further 443 000 from malaria every year. And these estimates are not precise and are probably much higher.
While you pray for the world, don't forget that there are corners of the world that suffer and have suffered daily for decades of years without relief. For people like this little child, this is a daily cross they have to bear.

ReplyDeleteAn old Auntie once told me that if we were all to put our troubles in a big pile , we'd be so grateful to get our own back ! The inconveniences of the current quarantine are just that - inconvenient . We are sheltered , fed and generally well . We are able to communicate with those we love through the phone and computer . Even in these uncertain times , we are well blessed ! Pray , indeed , for those who have never had what we seem to take for granted .
