A hurricane is coming so I am putting a tarp on the roof, putting the lawn chairs into the shed and packing away the tin Heron, turning the glass table upside down and wishing Mr. Plastic Alligator much luck as he hugs the ground. I might also drain the pond down about 12 inches to allow for flooding.
I can hear the pounding of the hammer on my roof as the tarps(heavy duty camo tarps) are laid down over the bad areas.
Hopefully it won't be any worse than what we had here in Florida. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThank you Martha!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your roof. That's bad when a roof leaks. Maybe the storm will be just a bit of rain and light wind. We had a passing shower. Not much to think about but we are 50 miles inland from the Atlantic Coast. I grew up on the coast in Titusville, Florida and couldn't wait to get away from it. I'm really over all the hurricanes and stormy weather, but I think we've had worse storms hit us here in Pierce County, Georgia than where I grew up. You can run but you can't hide .... *lol*
ReplyDeleteY'all be safe. Blessings.
Thanks Sparky, hoping it will be light. We had a foretaste tonight with a pretty big thunderstorm and hail.
ReplyDeletehope, everything goes well with you and yours...
