Various...

Beautiful, cool, weather has been the order of the past couple of weeks.

It is supposed to be an unusually stormy summer here on the Mid Atlantic coast.

I hope summer is treating you well so far.  Any plans in these uncertain and terribly expensive times?     We are two days into Summer now and didn't June rush by quickly?  It is almost the 4th of July.

I am posting some photos as I usually do on Friday. I hope you enjoy looking at them.   Photos are a window you can peek through to see other places, other lives, other things and I think that is why we find them so interesting.

"Moonlight becomes, it goes with your hair
You certainly know the right thing to wear
Moonlight becomes you, I'm thrilled at the sight
And I could get so romantic tonight"   songwriters:James Van Heusen / Johnny Burke

Ahh, don't be fooled my friends.  This photo was taken by my friend  on a sunny afternoon but the photo turned out a bit bland. There was no real interest in it so I used Photoshop  (with his permission) to change it all around.   I made it night.. I put water in the fountain and rain and lightning in the sky.  I turned on the lights and voila.. I think it works much better..don't you think?

"We who live in quiet places have the opportunity to become acquainted with ourselves, to think our own thoughts and live our own lives in a way that is not possible for those keeping up with the crowd."       Laura Ingalls Wilder

"Snow was falling,
so much like stars
filling the dark trees
that one could easily imagine
its reason for being was nothing more
than prettiness.”
― Mary Oliver

Thanks for dropping by.. come again won't you?

  2. Lovely photos...and that photoshopped one...I guess I don't know how to do that! That is amazing! (YOU are amazing!) Loved the poems that went along with the photos too. Yes, summer is here...we are finally getting some much needed rain...and lightning and thunder too, but hopefully it will cool things down a bit. 100 degrees yesterday was a bit too much even for this southern gal. LOL.

  4. Some great photos that you have there. I've been known to use photoshop, lightroom, and an unholy number of iphone and online apps to perk up photos that I think needed a little help. I have no patience with purists. All photography is an app now.
