Spring doesn't start until March 20
th and the awful daylight savings time begins on March 12
th but I am no fan of springtime. While it is something most love, I do not care for it much at all and have always called it the Laodicea of the Seasons... neither hot nor cold and very temporary. It vacillates between two opinions and is changes far too easily. It's flowers are fleeting, it rains too much, it blows hot and cold on a whim. The trees, while pretty, dirty up the landscape with pollen and seed pods. Sneezing and wheezing are the order of the day for many! And the damp weather of Spring does me and others no favors physically.
But now look! I found this on Face Book and thought it was so very encouraging and positive and I wanted to share it. "Cherish new life". If only the world would heed this and embrace it whole heartedly.
"Enjoy mindful moments"... now that is something to ponder carefully I think! Having goals for the seasons may be a way to truly enjoy them.
This is a lovely little piece isn't it?
It is still winter here weather wise. Cold, windy, crisp and zesty outside and I don't like to rush time.
OH, I DO love that Spring Bucket list! That is really sweet!! Yes spring can be quite changeable. We are experiencing hot weather already and it's still way too dry. We need rain terribly. We've had lots of pollen already and if it would rain it would help wash it down into the ground so much better. Otherwise it just coats everything with a coat of yellow dust and makes us miserable. Our pond is drying up. We are praying for rain and a little bit cooler temps at least for a while. I really prefer some spring before summer, because summer lasts too long here. Anyway, I loved this list of ideas. I may adopt some. (I may already do some of these, but it's good to be reminded of them.) Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteSpring is the manic depressive of all the seasons. The weather is hard to adjust to. Like you, though, I don't like to rush time. I'm learning to enjoy the moment. Tomorrow is not promised, yesterday is a memory, we only have this breath in time. Best to roll with it.
ReplyDeleteGood post. I enjoyed it. xx
I love it Annie!!
