Staying Put/Moving on

Up Late
It's almost midnight at the end of Monday.   I laid down for a mement at nearly 5PM and just woke up. I am hoping I can go back to sleep until about 5AM but who knows. Tomorrow I will add a note and let you know.

Here is Tuesday 4.
Welcome back to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4.
Sometimes we live in the same place where we were born and remain there all of our lives.
Sometimes we move away and never come back because of jobs, marriage, circumstances of all kinds.
Sometimes we choose where we will live and we have definite reasons for staying there even though we might be far from family.

1. Are you far from family and if so why? Would you like to have them closer and have you discussed that with them?
I was very far from family living out West for a long while but I came back to my home state of New Jersey.  I find it ideal here though I love The west a lot.    But family is everything and my parents were here .
I am very, very strong in my opinion that families must and should not live far away from one aother.
I have seen the negative results on families who break up to move away.   It simply is not worth it and you will never get that time back.     Yes, I do understand there are reasons but over all, if you can create a family community, then as much as you can , do so.

2. How did you come to live in the state you are in? How about the city/town.
It is a  dramatic  story that I do not share with just anyone.
I first returned to my hometown because I lived with my mother and then got my own wonderful little apartment where I was so very happy.
I came to this town through marriage.  I was raised on the east coast of  northern New Jersey and have the accent to prove it but now I have lived in south Jersey for most of my life.  They are pretty much two different places.
Yes.. I say wadder, chalklit, cawfee.. yup I sure do.

3. What good things keep you living where you are?   I live along the New Jersey coastline and we have simply the nicest beache.     They are safe, good for surfing, beautiful to look at, temperate and popular with tourists around the world.
The state is small and we have easy access to New York City, Philadelphia and Washington DC.
Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Pennsylvania and New York  are a hop skip and a jump for all they offer as well.

Our climate is moderate.. niether too hot nor too cold most of the time with 4 lovely distinct seasons and a spectacular fall color show.   Being the "garden state" our flowers and trees are gorgesous in Spring and Summer.    We have lakes, moutains, we are forested for the most part, the 2nd largest home to thorough bred hoses in the world, the leading grower of blueberries, cranberries and the finest tomatoes  in the world.  Our corn is top notch as well and the state is covered with farms.    Our "cities" are small. No huge places here, we are mostly small cozy and quaint towns, farming and fishing communities.
Our schools rank in the top 4 in the nation, our salaries are in the top 2.  If you want a big salary this is the place to be.
New Jersey has a very low crime rate.. one of the nation's lowest.  Our medical is top notch and we have easy access to New York City and Philadelphia great hospitals too.
What's good about your state and town?  As for my town.. it is right on the water.  Great for swimming, fishing, boating and just for the beautiful views.    We have a very low crime rate and nice people.

4. What things might convince you to move to another state or just another town?
Loss of liberty in the state and influx of evil into the town would make me move.

  3. I never knew much about NJ before I "MET" you here. I always thought NJ was like Newark, and that is not a great place. My hubby's father grew up in Newark, but moved to Florida first when he was stationed there in the Army during WW2 and met my MIL, and then once he left the Army after the war they lived in NJ for a little while and took care of his father until he died, and then moved back to Florida, where my hubby was born, and they stayed there until they died many years later. We visited one of hubby's cousins in NJ once, but they lived in the country/mountainous area so it was nice. But that's all I ever knew. I'm glad you love it there. It really sounds beautiful where you live.

  7. Being near phamily is very important to us. Your state sounds wonderful. My state was once wonderful and than the radicals took it over. Very sad. Anywhere in the larger cities. I hope you have a blessed weekend. Thank you always for sharing.
