Secret Valentine, Sat. 9

The weekend is here and  and it is frigid at 12° F.

But never mind that, it's time for Saturday 9. so let's put on some hot tea or coffee and warm up with some questions and answers.

Saturday 9: Secret Valentine (2008)
In honor of Valentine's Day. Unfamiliar with this week's tune? Hear it here.

1) The lyrics talk about a song that's so romantic it "turns out the lights." Are the lights on in the room you're in right now?

Yes, the lights are on.

2) In the video, our heroine's Valentine's Day adventure begins with a note slipped into her pocket. What's in your pocket right now?

I have no pockets at the moment.so, nothing.

3) This week's band, We the Kings, are proud sons of the state of Florida. Bradenton, to be exact. They even called one of their CDs Sunshine State of Mind. Have you ever been to Florida? If so, where have you visited?

Yes. I was in Miami to visit relatives. We also visited people in the keys and went to Key West.

4) Lead singer Travis Clark has a pierced lip but doesn't always wear a lip ring. Do you have any piercings? If yes, are you wearing jewelry in your piercing(s) right now?

I have pierced ears, but not wearing any earrings at the moment.

5) The band's name comes from a cheer they did when they attended Martha B. King High School. Have you attended your high school reunion?

No , just not  interested in going to them.

6) Hearts are the symbol of Valentine's Day, so here's a little heart trivia: whales have largest heart of any animal. When we say a person is "big hearted," it means we think of them as generous. Think about the people in your life. Who would you describe as big hearted?
My daughter and son and my friend Katy.

7) It's estimated that 9 million people buy Valentine's Day presents for their dogs and cats. Have you ever purchased a holiday gift for a pet?

I don't think so , no.

8) Valentines to teachers are also big sellers. Did you ever have a crush on one of your instructors?

No!

9) With the popularity of e-cards, fewer Valentine messages are sent via the USPS. What's the most recent thing you dropped into a mailbox?

Valentines Day cards for the girls.

Tomorrow is Sunday Stealing.

  1. Brrr! It is very cold here this morning, too, (just 9 degrees) but is supposed to warm up into the 30's today.

I don't have any interest in class reunions, either. The only one I've gone to is my 30 year reunion and all that did was prove I was right in thinking I wasn't missing anything. Seems to be how everyone else feels, too, since there hasn't been another. I think social media has killed the need for reunions since we all know what everyone had for dinner last night, anyway.

I played along today, but the link-up doesn't seem to be working this morning so here is my link:

    Have a blessed day!

  2. Nope, no interest in going to any reunions, they had no interest in us while in hs so why pretend? I know, folks can change in 35 years, but seriously...nope. Hey, its 7* and real feel is minus 2. smiles

  4. I only went to 2 of my reunions. I have 4 piercings in each ear. I did have a crush on my 9th grade biology teacher, Mr. Early. I did a post on the Mission Inn instead of the Sat 9. I always love you headers!

  7. Wow, I guess the difference is I went to the same school in a small town all 12 grades. Our class had only 50 students, so we were very close and everyone knew each other. I've been to all of our reunions, every 10 years. I actually helped plan the majority of them when I was living close enough to meet with the committee. I do stay in touch with several of my classmates through Facebook, but since I live a couple of hours away now I don't get to see them in person very often. I am thankful to have gone to a small school. We had more opportunities to be involved in things since there were so few of us. I never really had a crush on a teacher, but we did have a really cute coach and civics teacher my junior and senior year. He was a bachelor fresh out of college, and all the girls thought he was so cute. But he turned out to be pretty dumb and got himself arrested at the beach on spring break, and that was the end of his job at our school! LOL. Of course I have visited Florida...have lived here most of my life, except while hubby and I were "working our way" through the eastern part of the country and back...Glad to be back here now to stay.

  10. In this fashion my pal Wesley Virgin's biography launches with this SHOCKING AND CONTROVERSIAL video.

Wesley was in the army-and shortly after leaving-he found hidden, "SELF MIND CONTROL" secrets that the CIA and others used to get everything they want.

As it turns out, these are the same SECRETS lots of celebrities (especially those who "became famous out of nothing") and elite business people used to become rich and famous.

You probably know that you utilize only 10% of your brain.

That's really because the majority of your brain's power is UNTAPPED.

Perhaps that thought has even taken place INSIDE your own brain... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's brain seven years ago, while riding an unregistered, beat-up garbage bucket of a car with a suspended license and with $3 in his bank account.

"I'm so fed up with living paycheck to paycheck! Why can't I become successful?"

You've taken part in those types of conversations, ain't it so?

Your very own success story is going to be written. Go and take a leap of faith in YOURSELF.
