Autumn &Friday Photos

Windy and cool is the order of the day as Autumn makes its entry into our lives.  Oh, friends, it is for me the most wonderful time of the year.
windy day

Bright, vivid  Autumn leading into the cold days of Winter with her silver skies and amazing crisp starry nights.   No nights of the year are as star filled or as twinkling bright as winter.   And the days are not gray but silver!  A gorgeous time of year when trees show off their bark and varied browns and evergreens show off their talent.

I love Autumn so much I made a little graphic a few years ago.
This is a favorite line from "You've Got Mail".  I identified with the line the moment I heard it as I think that same way.  Then again, there was so much in the film that is familiar to me and the same can be said for "Murphy's Romance".    Do you have any book or movie you can identify with?   No, don't answer. That will be a good theme for Tuesday 4 this week!
There is a nostalgia to Autumn that does not really fit the other seasons.   At least for me there is.   I think back to other times in Autumn and find a warmth and peace in those thoughts.  Halloweens, Thanksgivings, Columbus Day... so many happy, happy times.

Since it is Friday I think I will join in with some Friday Photos.  Skywatch Friday

  1. I enjoyed your pictures. I like to be out in nature. I live in the city, so I have to find places that have trees. You are so blessed to live by the sea.

  3. I am forever planning to do a fall leaf peeping drive in the East Coast. HOpefully next year it will all come to fruition. I cannot wait to see fall in the East.

  4. I love, You've Got Mail...one of my go-to movies for Autumn. Your pictures are so pretty and of course I really love all the quotes under each photo. I'm anxiously waiting for the leaves to change here in my neck of the woods, I can already smell the change in the air! Have a wonderful week-end!
